Every pregnant parent is very eager to know the gender of their baby, but in mainland China, it is normal for doctors to not disclose the gender of their child after taking an ultrasound. Therefore, many methods for giving birth to boys and girls have been summarized by the public. Which calculator has a higher accuracy? Next, let me talk to all the men and women preparing for pregnancy.
1、 Calculate due date:
According to medical regulations, the due date is calculated from the first day of the last menstrual period, and the entire pregnancy period is 280 days, with 10 pregnancy months (28 days per pregnancy month). The month of the last menstrual period plus 9 or minus 3 is the number of expected delivery months; Add 7 days to the expected due date. For example, the last menstrual period was on March 4, 2012, with an expected due date of 3+9+12 and a date of 4+7+11, with an expected due date of December 11.
2、 Calculate male and female births before and after the due date:
There is also a belief that boys are prone to premature birth, meaning that boys are mostly born before their due date, while girls are mostly born after their due date. Another method of identification is to use a four-dimensional color ultrasound diagnostic device, which is currently the most advanced color ultrasound equipment in the world. Many pregnant women who have undergone four-dimensional ultrasound will habitually ask the doctor whether the fetus is male or female. Although 4D ultrasound can clearly identify the gender of the fetus, during the examination process, in order to avoid revealing the gender of the fetus, doctors will actively avoid the gender characteristics and lower body of the fetus. At the same time, in the later production of CDs, the parts that may reveal the gender of the fetus will also be processed.
3、 Calculate male and female students through features:
1. Early pregnancy (i.e. the first 3 months of pregnancy), without experiencing morning sickness, giving birth to a boy; In early pregnancy, if severe morning sickness occurs, a girl will be born.
2. Baby's heart rate is less than 140 beats per minute, giving birth to a boy; If the fetal heart rate is at least 140 beats per minute, a girl will be born.
3. The color of the areola becomes relatively darker, giving birth to a boy; On the contrary, giving birth to a girl.
4. The gradually bulging belly looks like a well inflated, taut, and round basketball, giving birth to a boy; A gradually bulging belly, like a big watermelon, with a shape that doesn't look as round as a ball, gives birth to a girl. In fact, the above statement does not have sufficient scientific basis. Firstly, morning sickness is caused by the rapid increase in human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) levels in early pregnancy, which inhibits gastric acid secretion, reduces gastrointestinal motility, and subsequently affects the appetite and digestive function of expectant mothers. Whether it's giving birth to a boy or a girl, morning sickness can occur. Many pregnant women's personal experiences also indicate that the severity of morning sickness is not related to the gender of the fetus.
4、 Calculate fetal heart rate to observe male and female births:
The fetal heart rate is used to distinguish the gender of the fetus, and the accuracy of identifying males and females based on fetal heart rate is relatively high compared to other characteristics. This has certain scientific basis, because men's heart rate is slower than women's, so it is generally difficult for women to control their emotions when they are angry!
Generally, the heart rate is around 140 beats per minute during 5 prenatal check ups, especially for boys who have a heart rate below 140 beats per minute, and around 150 beats per minute, especially for girls who have a heart rate above 150 beats per minute. As pregnancy progresses (after 7 and a half months), gender differences can be more clearly distinguished. However, this does not mean that an occasional prenatal check can prove gender. It is necessary to repeatedly check and report at a certain range, so that the general gender can be easily distinguished.
So, why can't we use one or two fetal heart rates to determine gender? Sometimes, when a female fetus falls asleep while listening to the fetal heart rate, the fetal heart rate will be slightly lower than when she is in a normal state. On the other hand, when a male fetus is measuring the fetal heart rate by a doctor, it will be moving in the mother's belly, so the fetal heart rate will be higher than when it is in a normal state, even exceeding 145 beats per minute. Therefore, multiple fetal examination reports from the expectant mother are necessary to roughly determine gender.
This calculator method is only for reference by expectant parents, hoping to help you.
