Nowadays, there are many scientific calculation methods to calculate a woman's menstrual cycle, and generally, a normal and regular menstrual period is relatively easy to obtain. However, many women nowadays experience menstrual irregularities due to various pressures in their daily lives, leading to unstable menstrual cycles. So, how should women calculate their ovulation period if their menstrual cycle is abnormal? Below, the editor will learn about it together with everyone.
1. Ovulation test strips
Testing principle: During each menstrual cycle in women, the peak level of luteinizing hormone (LH) in urine appears 24-48 hours before ovulation. Ovulation test strips can accurately detect the peak level of LH. After starting the detection, it should be checked regularly every day. When a color close to the peak value is about to appear, it should be tested every 12 hours until the LH peak is detected. Due to the different menstrual cycle days of each woman, the cycle testing table can be used as a reference for testing.
2. B-ultrasound monitoring of ovulation status
By monitoring ovulation through B-ultrasound, the development and ovulation status of follicles can be visually observed. In terms of a 28 day cycle:
The first ultrasound: Around the 8th day of menstruation, determine how many follicles are developing simultaneously and the diameter of larger follicles.
Second ultrasound: Around the 10th day of menstruation, 1-2 dominant follicles can be seen and the growth rate of follicles can be calculated.
The third ultrasound: Around the 13th day of menstruation, just before ovulation, the ultrasound will show an acoustic ring around the follicle. Experienced doctors will tell you that the follicle should ovulate within 24 hours,
The 4th ultrasound: Around the 14th day after ovulation, the follicles have disappeared or significantly shrunk by more than 5mm, and liquid dark areas of 4-6mm or even more can be seen in the uterine and rectal crypts.
3. Measurement method of basal body temperature
The basal body temperature method is a relatively accurate way to measure ovulation day, as women's basal body temperature suddenly drops on ovulation day, and then rises by 0.3-0.5 degrees Celsius in the following days.
Pregnant women can purchase a thermometer and drop it below 35 ℃ before going to bed every day. After 6-8 hours of sleep, if they wake up without any activity (such as speaking, eating, or getting up), they can immediately measure their oral temperature. At least for 14 days, it is best to continue measuring and recording, and drawing a curve graph, in order to grasp the pattern of temperature rise and fall and determine one's ovulation day.
