According to traditional Chinese medicine books, pregnancy can be determined by palpating the pulse. The pulse of a pregnant woman is usually smooth and not dry, with a slightly faster pulse, which is commonly referred to as' like a spinning ball '.

The pulse of the Guan pulse (the middle pulse) in the right hand of a newly pregnant woman is particularly prominent. This is because the right hand's Guan meridian mainly connects to the lung meridian, and then the left hand's Guan meridian also appears. The left hand's Guan meridian connects to the liver meridian, which in turn connects to the reproductive organs. In this way, experienced traditional Chinese medicine practitioners can easily diagnose the Xi meridian.

If a woman is pregnant, her index finger, middle finger, and ring finger can all clearly sense the rapidly pulsating pulse. If any finger cannot feel the joyful pulse, it is not pregnancy.

Traditional Chinese medicine has a certain theoretical basis for pulse diagnosis, because the pulse can actually reflect the speed of blood flow, and blood is driven by the heart, which is the main organ of the human body. Therefore, the quality of the heart directly affects a person's physical health. Traditional Chinese medicine can perceive the operation status of various organs of the human body based on the pulse.

In general, if women know if they are pregnant, it is best to use pregnancy test strips or go to the hospital for examination. If they want to choose traditional Chinese medicine, they should also go to a regular Chinese medicine hospital and choose experienced Chinese medicine practitioners for pulse palpation.
