Is frequent fetal movement a sign before delivery

Having a pregnancy in October and giving birth in one day. After working hard to conceive for nine months, I eagerly await the day of delivery. The algorithm for estimating the due date is only based on the last menstrual period and is not an accurate date. It is normal to have it a few days earlier or later. It is very necessary for pregnant women to understand the signs of childbirth. So what are the signs before childbirth?

Is frequent fetal movement a sign before delivery1

  1. Regular abdominal pain: usually lasting for 30 seconds with intervals of 10 minutes. In the future, the duration of pain gradually increases and the interval decreases, which is called regular labor pains.

  2. Increased convenience. In late pregnancy, the head of the fetus extends into the pelvis, causing pressure on the bladder and rectum near the uterus, leading to increased urge to defecate and urinate.

  3. The uterine fundus is descending. About two weeks before delivery, the uterus will descend in primiparous women. At this time, the upper abdomen will feel relaxed, breathing will become more comfortable than before, and the discomfort of stomach pressure will be reduced. The appetite will also increase accordingly.

  4. Vaginal redness. Within 24 hours before delivery, there will be a blood like secretion in the vagina, commonly known as "visible red", which is generally less than the usual menstrual flow. If it exceeds the menstrual flow, it is abnormal.

  5. Amniotic membrane rupture. The strengthening of uterine contractions increases the pressure inside the uterine cavity, promoting the outflow of cool and pale yellow amniotic fluid from the amniotic sac, known as "breaking water". After breaking the water, delivery is usually imminent. At this time, the mother must not stand upright or sit up to prevent the umbilical cord from coming out. She should immediately adopt a supine position, and the family should quickly take her to the hospital.

As the due date approaches, the baby may start at any time. Pregnant mothers should be aware of these signs of labor and closely monitor their own condition. If any abnormalities are found, they must seek medical attention promptly. Check if the baby is about to come out. If it is about to give birth, congratulations, you can meet the baby soon.
