Every mother hopes that her baby can surpass other children from birth. Having a natural childbirth is good for both the mother and the baby, so mothers all hope to have a natural childbirth. So what are the conditions for vaginal delivery?

What are the conditions for vaginal delivery1

  1. Pelvic region. During vaginal delivery, the fetus needs to pass through the female pelvis. If the lower part of the pelvis is wide and shallow, the fetus is prone to vaginal delivery. If it is narrow and deep, it is very difficult for the fetus to pass through. So doctors will conduct a pelvic examination before delivery to predict whether the fetus can pass through the pelvis. Only when the fetal biparietal diameter can pass through the pelvis can vaginal delivery be performed.

  2. Conditions of the fetus. If the fetus is in a proper position and not very large, and can pass through the pelvis, then the conditions for vaginal delivery are basically met. If the fetus is too large, it is very easy to have difficult delivery and cannot be delivered naturally.

  3. Maternal body. It is best for mothers to get pregnant between the ages of 25-30. If they exceed this age range, the mother's body may be in danger. If the mother's body is relatively weak, vaginal delivery is not easy.

  4. Productivity conditions. Labor force refers to the ability of the uterus to contract. If the uterus has strong contraction ability, vaginal delivery is easy, but if the labor force conditions are weak, vaginal delivery may become more difficult.

  5. Psychological factors. Many postpartum women are very afraid of the pain of childbirth and have believed many rumors, thinking that vaginal delivery is a very dangerous thing. Therefore, their fear is even greater, so they could have had a vaginal delivery but could not, and choose cesarean section instead.
