The uterus is the little palace of a child, because in the future, a little baby will live in this palace for ten months and then come into this world to reunite with their parents. So the importance of the uterus is self-evident. The uterus of women is also an organ that is more prone to problems, such as cervicitis, which is one of the diseases of the uterus. So what is cervicitis?
Cervicitis is an inflammation of the cervix, which may be caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, anaerobic bacteria, or streptococcal infections, or by the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases such as gonorrhea or Chlamydia trachomatis.
If cervicitis occurs, the cervical area will become very fragile, and the cervix often becomes congested, swollen, etc. A gentle touch can easily cause bleeding. If bleeding is found in the cervical area after a light touch during examination, it may be due to cervicitis. If an increase in red blood cells and white blood cells is found under a microscope, it may also be due to cervicitis. Especially if a woman's vaginal discharge shows an increase in white blood cells, the probability of cervical inflammation is very high.
Cervicitis can be classified into acute and chronic types. Acute cervicitis is relatively easy to treat, while chronic cervicitis is often difficult to cure quickly, causing long-term health problems for women and posing great challenges to their health.
