Everyone knows that normal urine is colorless or light yellow transparent. If a woman's urine is white and cloudy like rice, lime, or milk, the cause of the white urine should be investigated. So, what are the common causes of white urine in women? Let's all learn about it with me.
1. Crystalline urine: The urine is white in color, resembling lime water, and often appears at the end of urine. Women with white urine may experience slight discomfort in the urethra and occasional renal colic. Normal urine contains many organic or inorganic substances, usually in a dissolved state, so urine is clear and transparent. If these substances have a high content and are in a saturated state, they will precipitate and form crystalline urine. Crystalline urine is not a disease. As long as you pay attention to drinking plenty of water and maintaining sufficient urine output, it will not occur.
2. Purulent urine: The urine is white in color, like rice water. There are often flocculent substances suspended, and after standing, there are many white precipitates. This type of white urine is often accompanied by symptoms such as urgency, frequency, pain, difficulty urinating, lower back pain, and fever. Diseases that may cause purulent urine include renal tuberculosis, pyonephrosis, or urinary tract infections caused by obstruction or foreign bodies. At this point, the patient should go to the hospital for further examination to determine the site and cause of infection, and receive targeted treatment.
3. Chylouria: Urine is white in color, resembling milk, sometimes mixed with white clots or blood. When tired or eating high-fat foods, white urine is obvious, and when resting or eating low-fat foods, white urine becomes lighter or clear. This symptom indicates that there is a lesion in the lymphatic vessels in the body, and the location of the lesion can be determined through lymphangiography examination. Generally, traditional Chinese medicine or surgical methods are used for treatment.
White urine in females, also known as proteinuria, is caused by abnormal increase in protein in urine due to kidney or other diseases, such as nephritis and kidney disease. This type of disease is often accompanied by edema. If women find that their urine is white, they must go to a professional hospital for examination to avoid delaying the condition.
