Generally, during pregnancy, the diet needs to be controlled, especially not eating too sweet food. You should know that many pregnant women can't control themselves to eat a lot of sweet food during pregnancy, which leads to diabetes. It is more common for pregnant women to get diabetes. So what are the problems with the children born to pregnant women with diabetes?
1. Fetal malformation. During pregnancy, if you get diabetes, it will affect the normal development of the fetus in your belly. It is likely that the baby will not be particularly healthy, and there may be congenital malformations. These are very common. Some babies may experience anal atresia and kidney deformities after birth.
2. Giant baby. Normally, the normal weight of a newborn is about six kilograms, but the weight of a baby born to a diabetes pregnant woman is generally more than six kilograms, or even heavier. Such a baby is a giant baby, and generally it is dozens of times higher than the normal weight. Giving birth to a giant baby is also a very dangerous thing for a mother.
3. Hypoglycemia. Newborns must have a comprehensive examination after birth, including blood sugar. After the examination, it is found that the blood sugar of the child is very low. The reason why the child has hypoglycemia is that the mother has diabetes. Therefore, for pregnant women with diabetes, the probability of hypoglycemia of the born child is very high.
