Baby Outerwear Set

Nowadays, many mothers cultivate their children's aesthetic sense from a young age, starting from wearing clothes, not only to be comfortable, but also to be beautiful and fashionable. Baby outdoor clothing sets are a popular choice for many mothers, as they can go out beautifully without the need for special matching. Today, let's mainly understand how children should dress appropriately?

Chinese parents seem to have obsessive-compulsive disorder towards their children's clothing, always thinking that their children will freeze and that the more clothes they wear, the better. Wearing less clothes can cause freezing, but now that economic conditions have improved, such problems are unlikely to occur. However, it is too common to wear too many clothes for children. Many parents would rather put a towel on their children's neck to absorb sweat than take off a piece of clothes for their children. When autumn comes, they will dress their children like Zongzi. Anything is too much, but too little. Wearing too many clothes will damage children's health.

The most serious consequence of wearing too much clothing for newborns and infants is heat retention syndrome. The child's body is wrapped in thick clothes, and the heat generated by the child cannot be dissipated. The temperature inside the clothes and blankets becomes higher and higher. The child is small and cannot speak or struggle. Long term high temperatures can cause the child to have high fever, dehydration, hypoxia, coma, and even respiratory and circulatory failure. This is known as heat retention syndrome.

How should I dress my child more appropriately? There are two purposes for human clothing: one is to cover the body, and the other is to keep warm. When the temperature is high enough, above 24 ℃, there is no need for warmth in a conscious state, just wear a single piece of clothing to cover the body, and the same goes for children. When the temperature drops below 24 ℃, adults will perceive warmth and coldness based on the signals from their skin temperature sensors, and adjust the number and thickness of clothing they wear. Infants and young children cannot speak on their own, so we can refer to a practical principle:

  1. Children under one year old wear one extra piece of clothing (of average thickness) compared to adults.

  2. Infants and children over the age of one have basically the same ability to regulate body temperature as adults, and can dress similarly to adults.

  3. Many children over the age of three express themselves as warm or cold. As long as the child doesn't feel cold, there is no need to wear more clothes. You can touch the child's palms and back. If they are warm and don't sweat, it means that the clothes are worn appropriately.
