It is inevitable for babies to get sick. Sometimes parents refuse to feed their babies no matter how much they are fed, and even if they do, they eat very little. Some babies cry while breastfeeding or eating other things, and parents cannot figure out what is going on. In fact, it is very likely that the baby has stomatitis and refuses to eat because of the pain. So, how is the baby's stomatitis caused?
Stomatitis is actually an oral ulcer. The cause of its onset is due to the patient being infected with a virus. Immunological studies suggest that there are two main types of viruses that can induce oral inflammation: human cytomegalovirus and herpes virus. Both of these viruses are lurking in human blood. When a baby catches a cold, their immune system will weaken, and the virus will attack, causing the baby to develop oral inflammation.
If a baby has oral inflammation, they can eat more foods such as tomatoes and watermelons in their diet. If the pain of oral inflammation is severe, it is recommended that parents use tomatoes or watermelons to extract juice and let the baby hold it in their mouth. This can reduce the baby's pain and accelerate the healing of oral inflammation. If there is honey at home, you can also apply honey to the ulcerated surface of your baby's mouth. Drink a sip of water for about 15 minutes and swallow the honey and water together.
