How to check if there are insects in the baby's anus

Basically, every baby has experienced deworming during infancy and early childhood because they have no concept of hygiene and want to taste what they can or cannot eat. Therefore, bacteria from their hands can easily enter their intestines and stomach. So parents need to be able to judge whether their baby has worms. 1、 Methods for checking insect eggs

  1. Wiping method: Place cotton test strips in a container containing disinfectant saline solution, wring them out before use, wipe the area around the baby's anus, and then place them on a glass slide for microscopic examination. Alternatively, a cotton swab soaked completely with 50% glycerol or 1% sodium hydroxide can be used to scrape the area around the anus and then mixed with glycerol solution or potassium hydroxide for microscopic examination.

  2. Floatation method: Similarly, place the cotton swab paper into a container containing physiological saline, squeeze it dry, wipe the perianal area, and then place the cotton swab paper into a test tube filled with saturated saline. After fully shaking, the eggs will be sucked into the saline, and finally float and collect for microscopic examination.

  2、 Insect body inspection method

About one to three hours after the baby falls asleep, parents can inspect the baby's anus and surrounding area while the baby is asleep. If there are worms crawling out, parents can clamp them with tweezers and put them into a small alcohol bottle. Due to the fact that pinworms do not ovulate every night, it is necessary to observe for three to five days.
