Baby care is not easy in daily life, and there are many food additives nowadays. When choosing to purchase such foods, it is important to pay more attention. A slight carelessness may lead to allergic reactions in babies, and it is not easy to check for allergens. So, how to detect allergens in babies?
1. Intradermal test. This is a relatively simple method for detecting allergens. For allergens with doubts, after extraction and injection into the baby's skin, observe the reaction of the baby's skin after a period of absorption and decomposition. If the baby has some abnormal reactions to this allergen, it proves that the baby is allergic to it and needs to stay away from it.
2. Point prick test. The principle of piercing through the surface source into the baby's body is similar to the first detection method. The prick test mainly involves making allergens into drops and pricking them into the baby's skin. For example, for the detection of inhaled allergens, there are mites, willow tree hair, pollen, etc. Food allergens, such as beef, mutton, fish, shrimp, crab, eggs, milk, peanuts, beans, etc., can be detected within approximately 15 minutes.
3. Patch test. The principle of this detection is mainly aimed at the treatment and examination of skin inflammation. For example, this method can be used for babies who are allergic to skincare products, hair dye, drugs, bleach, fragrances, and other ingredients. The main detection method is to stick the medication of such substances on the baby's skin, and detect whether it will stimulate lymphocytes in the baby's body and cause allergic reactions through contact with the baby.
