  1. When a baby develops a fever, appropriate fever reduction measures should be taken based on the specific condition of the baby's fever. Babies have low-grade fever, moderate fever, and high fever. If there is only a slight fever and the measured body temperature does not exceed 37.3 ℃, it is considered a mild fever. If the body temperature reaches 37.4~37.8 ℃, it is considered a low-grade fever. For low-grade fever, it is advisable to reduce excessive baby clothing and strengthen breastfeeding. Then, measure the baby's temperature frequently to see if the fever has subsided.

  2. If the baby's low-grade fever does not subside, and even develops moderate heat or a high fever of around 39 ℃, physical methods should be considered to cool down, such as wiping the baby's palms, soles of feet, forehead, neck, leg sockets, armpits, and other areas with rich blood vessels with a warm water towel, which is beneficial for heat dissipation and cooling.

  3. When a baby develops a high fever, in addition to physical cooling, it is also necessary to immediately go to the pediatric department of the hospital for examination. After all, there are many causes of fever, and a detailed examination by a doctor is needed to confirm the cause of the fever and provide correct treatment. If necessary, medication should be used to reduce fever and prevent prolonged high fever from damaging the baby's brain tissue.
