Many babies have a fear of water and do not like to wash their hair or take a bath, especially when washing their hair. Babies often refuse to cooperate, either twisting their bodies left and right or crying and making a scene, which makes mothers very distressed. Sometimes it takes a lot of time to help a baby wash their hair smoothly. So, how can a two-year-old baby wash their hair well?
1. Hugging and washing hair
Babies cry a lot when washing their hair because they lack a sense of security. At this point, the mother can sit on a stool, pick up the baby and place it on her lap, letting the baby lie on its back. Mothers hold their babies' necks with their hands and slowly water them to wash. This allows the babies to see their mother's face and chat while washing their hair, eliminating their fear.
2. Wear a shampoo cap
You can buy a suitable shampoo cap for your baby to cover their eyes, ears, and other areas. Some babies are afraid to wash their hair because there will be water flowing into their ears or eyes during washing. Covering it can prevent water from flowing into the ears and eyes, and also reduce the irritation of shampoo and other substances to the eyes.
3. Wash in bed
Let the baby lie on their back in bed and use a chair or stool of appropriate height to place the basin for washing hair just below the baby's head. This way, washing the baby's hair also avoids water flowing through the baby's face and ears, and the baby's inability to see water reduces fear. But pay attention to providing good support under the baby's neck, such as using a small pillow or towel.
