Firstly, convulsions are naturally abnormal behavior, but the causes are different. Generally, a baby's fever, lack of oxygen in the brain can lead to convulsions, and there is also a possibility of epilepsy. High fever, viral infection, low calcium, and intracranial hemorrhage are all important factors leading to seizures, and epilepsy is caused by abnormal brain function.

Secondly, the baby has some physical reactions before convulsions. First, he is agitated or easily frightened, then his eyes turn up, he is unconscious, his facial muscles twitch or his teeth close, and in serious cases, he vomits foam at the mouth, and his limbs tremble. If he does not relieve it in time, his brain will often be damaged, affecting the child's intellectual development.

Once a baby experiences convulsions, the first thing to do is to immediately have the baby lie flat on the bed. If it is caused by a high fever, a cold towel should be applied to the forehead and the baby should be pinched by hand. And during convulsions, there will be a large amount of phlegm in the throat. At this time, the baby should be placed in a lateral position, not supine, to avoid the risk of phlegm flowing into the trachea and causing tracheal obstruction, leading to suffocation.
