Childhood rash is a common disease among children, and many children have experienced rash during their infancy. It is necessary for mothers to understand the symptoms of rashes in young children, so that they can promptly detect which disease their baby is suffering from and receive necessary treatment and care. So what are the symptoms of infantile rash?
Symptom 1: During the third to fifth day of the rash, the body temperature suddenly drops back to normal, and a rash may appear at the same time or later. The rash is scattered and appears as rose red macules or papules, which fade under pressure and rarely merge. First appearing on the trunk, then rapidly spreading to the neck, upper limbs, face, and lower limbs. The rash lasts for 24-48 hours and quickly subsides without pigmentation or peeling.
Symptom 2: During the onset of the disease, there is often swelling of lymph nodes behind the ears and in the occipital region. A few children may experience mild irritability, discomfort, and diarrhea.
Symptom 3: The rash is light rose red in color, with a diameter of 2-4mm. Initially, it is scattered, but later adjacent rashes can merge into large patches. The rash is mainly concentrated on the head, forehead, neck, and trunk, with relatively few on the limbs. There are often no rashes below the elbows, knees, or palms and soles. The rash will appear completely within 24 hours, and after one to two days, the rash will begin to subside without pigmentation or shedding.
Symptom 4: Sudden onset of high fever, lasting for 3-5 days. High fever can be accompanied by convulsions, irritability, coughing, vomiting, and diarrhea, and some children may experience convulsions during high fever. In addition, the symptoms of the cold are not obvious, and the spirit and appetite are still good, but there may be mild congestion in the throat and tonsils, as well as mild swelling of superficial lymph nodes in the head and neck. Manifesting as a high fever that is not commensurate with mild symptoms and signs.
If mothers find that their babies have the symptoms described in this article, it is unfortunate that your baby may have already developed infantile rash. Infantile rash is a self-healing disease, and once the patient develops it, they have lifelong immunity. Therefore, mothers do not need to rush to get angry, they just need to take care of themselves and wait for the rash to disappear on its own.
