Parents need to have a certain understanding of common diseases, so what does infantile rash look like? Let's learn about it together.
Childhood rash is a disease in which young children are infected with human herpesvirus and experience sudden acute fever and rash. Due to the appearance of rose colored papules on the patient's skin, this disease is called infantile rose rash. The characteristic of the disease is that the body temperature will suddenly drop when it lasts for three to five days. If properly cared for and there are no other complications, it will be cured quickly. The specific symptoms are as follows:
1. Elevated body temperature. The incubation period of infantile rash varies from seven to fifteen days. Most patients have no other symptoms and suddenly have a fever, which can rise to around 40 degrees Celsius. If left untreated in the early stages of high fever, it can cause seizures.
2. Digestive system. In the early stages of the disease, under the influence of high fever, there may be loss of appetite. Few patients suffer from nausea, cough, tympanic membrane inflammation, vomiting, swelling around the mouth, hematuria, drowsiness, convulsions and other symptoms. Patients may also experience congestion in the throat or tonsils.
3. Eruption. After a high fever lasts for three to five days, the body temperature will begin to decrease, and after the body temperature returns to normal, rash will begin to appear. The rash is mostly rose colored papules with a diameter of about four millimeters. The location of the appearance is uncertain, mostly on the face, neck, and limbs. The proximal limbs usually appear last. After the rash appears, it will begin to subside on its own within a day or two, and there will be no scars left after it subsides.
