It is understandable that children under the age of one cannot understand what their parents are saying and often cry and fuss. After the age of two, children with normal development can understand some of what their parents say. At this point, they become mischievous, stubborn, and crying, which makes their parents very angry. What should we do if a child over two years old cries recklessly?
1. You can shift the child's attention. Children have a lot of forgetfulness and may forget some things in a while. After their excitement subsides, sometimes they themselves realize where they went wrong.
2. When a child makes a mistake, point it out to them instead of pretending not to see. The elders in the family should not spoil their children and adopt a tacit approval approach. You can use a method where one person preaches directly and another person coaxes the child. But the whole family should have a unified understanding and help children establish correct values.
3. Don't let your child cry sadly and soften your heart. Sometimes you let them cry and ignore them, and they won't cry for a while. When they calm down and stop crying, you can tell them what went wrong.
4. Although it is not recommended to beat or scold children, moderate punishment is still necessary. We need to make them understand from a young age what they can do and what they absolutely cannot touch. They can be punished for doing household chores or doing things within their capabilities.
