Whether a baby's urination and defecation are normal or not directly affects their physical development, so many parents will judge whether their baby's body is healthy by observing their baby's urination and defecation. Sometimes I find that my baby's stool is grass green, so what's wrong with it?
Baby not getting enough to eat: When a baby doesn't eat enough, the baby's stomach and intestines move too quickly due to hunger, and the bilirubin in the intestines cannot be converted in time, so the color of the stool will also turn green.
Baby getting sick: In cases where the baby has a cold or indigestion, there may be a phenomenon of pulling green stools. If the baby has already been infected with bacteria, active treatment is needed. Or if the baby is still young and suffers from indigestion due to catching a cold, it can cause the baby's stool to turn grass green. Parents need to provide timely treatment and adjustment for their babies.
High iron content in milk powder: If a baby eats milk powder containing iron and cannot fully absorb the iron in the milk powder, their stool will turn yellow green and the white particles in the stool will be large, which can easily produce an odor.
Eating too much green food: When babies can add complementary foods, many parents choose green vegetable puree, so after some babies consume it, their stool will be grass green. Parents don't need to worry too much. They can switch their baby's diet to fruit puree and observe. If the stool is normal, it is caused by dietary reasons.
