I believe many parents with children know that babies are prone to eczema. When eczema occurs, the child will feel uncomfortable and the parents will be anxious. So why do babies develop eczema?
1. Environmental factors. When a baby develops eczema, the first thing to consider is that it is caused by environmental factors. For example, if a woman frequently inhales second-hand smoke or smokes during pregnancy, the chances of the baby developing eczema after birth will be much higher than other babies. This is mainly caused by allergic reactions, and eczema is mostly caused by allergies.
2. Dietary factors. Adding complementary foods to infants too early is also a major factor in developing eczema, as food antigens are absorbed into the body through the intestinal mucosa, which can cause the onset of infantile eczema and even worsen its symptoms. So don't add complementary foods to babies too early. It's best to start adding complementary foods after the baby is 6 months old, and the amount of complementary foods should be increased from small to large. Don't give the baby a lot of complementary foods at the beginning.
3. Washing habits. Nowadays, many parents attach great importance to the personal hygiene of their babies, so they frequently give their children baths and use various shower gels for them. In fact, the more you do this, the more likely it is for babies to develop eczema, because frequent washing habits can cause dry skin, which can trigger eczema.
