Dad Thanks Stranger at Airport for Showing His Kid What 'Kindness and Compassion Look Like'

Score one for humanity!

Traveling with a kid can be painful, especially when you factor in the fellow passengers who have little to no patience for your tiny tot. When Kevin Armentrout was waiting at an airport with his rambunctious little girl, he assumed they were public enemy No. 1. But then the father-daughter pair met one very special person.

This kind stranger wasn’t remotely annoyed by the little girl’s company, and instead welcomed the cute interaction. Touched by his kindness, the dad took to social media to share his story with the world.

“Last night, while waiting to board our plane, [my daughter] was being her usual inquisitive self wanting to meet and say ‘hi’ to everyone she could—until she walked up on this man. He reached out and asked if she wanted to sit with him,” the dad recounts.

For the next 45 minutes, the man allowed the youngster to play on his tablet, where she drew pictures and watched cartoons.

“Watching them in that moment, I couldn’t help but think, different genders, different races, different generations and the best of friends. This is the world I want for her,” Armentrout says.

The dad hopes his viral post will reach Joseph, the sweet man they met.

“Thank you for showing my daughter what kindness and compassion look like. Continue to shine your light in the world,” he says.

Another random act of kindness went viral late last year, when a man gave up his first class seat to a mom and her sick baby.
