Google, along with several other companies, recently announced its annual end-of-year report—but this year has looked starkly different than most. The tech giant unveiled its top trending searches for 2020 across a multitude of categories, including some that were likely unprecedented including “during coronavirus” and “virtual.”
This year’s departure from normalcy was also seen in categories relating to babies and kids, such as how to keep kids entertained at home, school, working from home and—because sometimes you just need a drink after a long day of working, homeschooling and whatever else this year’s thrown your way—cocktail and mocktail recipes.
Google is defining this top trending searches data as the searches that had the highest spikes in traffic over a sustained period in 2020 as compared to 2019. Below, their top trending searches for babies, kids at home, school, working from home, cocktail recipes and mocktail recipes.
