Janie and Jack’s New Online Shop Aims to Uplift Black Creatives

In partnership with Brown Girls Do Ballet, The Conscious Kid and Shyv.

Several brands have committed to highlighting Black-Owned businesses in honor of Black History Month—an endeavor that will hopefully continue to carry on past February—including popular kids’ brand Janie and Jack .

The brand shared their ongoing commitment to teach kids about kindness, unity, anti-racism and love, as well as to lift up creatives of color. In keeping with that commitment, Janie and Jack has launched a new online shop that features special products from Black-owned businesses and Black designers and artists. The shop also includes exclusive styles created in partnership with Brown Girls Do Ballet , a division of Brown Girls Do and a philanthropic organization that celebrates and promotes diversity in ballet in underrepresented communities. Three shirts in the collection, priced from $32 to $42 incorporate the org’s signature ballerina graphics.

The brand will host special storytimes on their IGTV, in continuation with their GoodBooks Series , to help promote healthy racial identity development in young kids.

In addition to partnerships with Brown Girls Do Ballet and The Conscious Kid, the online shop also includes products from Shyv , a Black-owned skincare brand created for kids by a child model from the Janie and Jack x Harlem’s Fashion Row campaign .
