Watch Baby Archie Adorably Distract Mom Meghan Markle as She Reads to Him

The now one-year-old has a clear love for board books!

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is one!

To celebrate his birthday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released a new video on Instagram (filmed by Harry) of Meghan reading “Duck Rabbit” to their son. “‘Duck! Rabbit!’ read by Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex (with Harry, The Duke of Sussex behind the camera) to their son Archie for his 1st Birthday. Happy Birthday, Archie!” the caption of the video states, continuing with details on the cause—a campaign that supports kids who have been impacted by the pandemic in the US and the UK—and how to help.

“For Save With Stories, we’re going to read “Duck Rabbit. Ready?” Markle says, as Archie giggles and helps her turn the page. As they read, the one-year-old continues to help his mom turn the pages, fussing at one point before breaking into a giant smile and flipping back and forth to look at all the pictures.

In the background of the video, viewers can hear Harry making duck noises and laughing. As Markle reaches the end of the story, Archie eagerly picks up another one, to which Markle replies, “Let’s finish this book and then we’ll read that one next.” The baby then drops the book, causing Markle to look directly at the camera with a smile and Harry to laugh in the background.

As they finish reading the book, Harry exclaims, “Yay, the end! Bravo!” as Markle cuddles the baby boy. The video ends with Archie grabbing the book to bite on and babbling something that sounds a lot like “duck, duck, duck, duck.”

Archie’s first birthday follows his cousins, Prince Louis, who recently turned 2 , and Princess Charlotte, who turned 5.
