When will we go to the hospital when the due date is approaching1

There is no fixed time to go to the hospital when the due date is approaching, mainly to see if there are any symptoms of labor. Actually, it is not recommended for pregnant women to go to the hospital too early for delivery, as going too early can cause pre delivery anxiety. Therefore, it is best to wait for delivery at the hospital only when the following symptoms are detected:

  1. Painful contractions. As the due date approaches, pregnant women may experience significant uterine contractions and pain. At the beginning of contractions, it is an irregular pseudo contractions that will return to normal after a period of time, and then become regular contractions, about every 5 to 10 minutes, accompanied by labor pains, back pain, and abdominal pain. This indicates that the pregnant woman is about to give birth and needs to go to the hospital.

  2. See red. A reliable signal of impending delivery is the appearance of redness, so when a small amount of dark red or brown vaginal discharge is found near the due date, it is likely to be what we commonly refer to as redness. Therefore, it is necessary to go to the hospital as soon as possible to wait for delivery.

  3. Breaking water. Breaking water is the rupture of the amniotic membrane, caused by strong uterine contractions, and is also the most direct sign of childbirth. If pregnant women break the water before giving birth, they should pay attention. Because breaking the water means that the environment inside the uterus has changed, which is not conducive to the survival of the fetus, it is necessary to go to the hospital as soon as possible after breaking the water.
